From Saturday, August 15 to Monday, August 17, 2026, the Organization of the Tuareg Diaspora in Europe (ODTE / TANAT) is organizing its Annual Gathering, a must-attend event for the Kel-Tamasheq community living in Europe. Three days of gathering, exchanges, and cultural celebration are on the program, at a venue located on Rue du Bois Renard in Le Cormier (27120), in the Eure department.

Saturday, August 15: Opening and Reflection
The day begins at 7:30 AM with breakfast, followed at 9:45 AM by participant reception and registration. The morning continues with a general organizational meeting, followed by training on “assertive communication.” The afternoon features a major highlight: a roundtable discussion dedicated to current affairs, particularly security issues in the Sahel, peace, and development. This is followed by children’s activities (games, storytelling, introduction to Tifinagh, the script of the Kel-Tamasheq) and a contest for the most beautiful traditional outfit. Participants can also visit exhibitions and booths hosted by diaspora associations and projects. In the evening, time is set aside for expressions of appreciation, followed by a grand musical performance starting at 10:00 PM featuring Mahassa from Groupe Tartit, Bibi Ahmed, Moctar Alhassane, and Rachid.
Sunday, August 16: Exchanges, Culture, and Evening Gathering
The morning is dedicated to discussions surrounding the Gathering and the specific challenges facing the diaspora. After lunch, the traditional tendé takes place in the early afternoon, followed by the dismantling of tents in the late afternoon. The evening concludes with dinner and, starting at 10:00 PM, a special Saday evening gathering around tea, punctuated by a poetry contest, storytelling, riddles, and games.
Monday, August 17: Closing
The final morning is reserved for breakfast (8:30 AM – 10:00 AM), before cleaning and restoring the site between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
